Arts & Crafts Leather Purse, Excellent
$150.00
An antique leather purse, done in an Arts & Crafts style. Hand-tooled leather in a trapezoidal shape, with a molded design on the front and bound by leather strapping.
It has the typical zipper pull type latch, that either locks or opens the purse by rotating it 180 degrees. Floral design on the side of the pull that is closed, flat design when unlatched. Interior has the main center pocket with two side pockets. The metal tops look like they might have been silver plated, but have a nice patina now. I can't say if they would clean up fully or not, but I suspect they will. Patent dates of 1915-1917.
Excellent overall condition. If one was going to use this, there is a very light bit of wear to the finish, so a new coat of polish would probably be helpful.
Size of the purse is about 8" by 7.25" and 1" thick when empty. A wonderful purse from a century ago.

As always, buy more than one item from my shop and I'll combine the shipping. I don't make a profit on shipping like some sellers do. However, Etsy's shipping calculator doesn't do well with combined shipments, so you may receive a partial refund of shipping charges after you place your order.
Keep in mind that many of my items are one-of-a-kind, and I have local customers looking at them. If you buy something that has just sold locally and wasn't yet removed, the order will be cancelled and your full payment returned to you, unless I have a similar item in stock. You can always contact me before your purchase to confirm the item is still available.
